The Agriturismo
The farm “Cantagallo” was born from the desire to enhance an old farmhouse, one of the characteristic “farmhouses” of the Tuscan tradition. The renovation took place in 2000, and was carried out with great care to preserve intact the peculiarities of the house, so the ceiling has kept the wooden beams and the ancient floor of Impruneta terracotta was returned to its original beauty. The structure consists of two large apartments, completely independent of each other and equipped with all comforts. The location is ideal, a few kilometers from Florence and Siena, but in the heart of Chianti. From here you can quickly reach places like Greve in Chianti, Impruneta, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni. Also an excellent bus service stops 200 meters from the hotel, to bring to Florence.
WHERE WE ARE
To reach us, from the A1 motorway exit at Firenze Impruneta and take the Firenze-Siena highway.
Exit at the second exit, San Casciano Val di Pesa, and follow the signs to get to the village.
From San Casciano follow the signs for Mercatale, and after 2 Km turn left towards Castelbonsi.
Take the first dirt road to the right, and after 100 meters on the right you have arrived!
SERVICES
Both units are equipped with Wi-Fi connection, and have oven, iron and ironing board, washing machine and dishwasher, television with satellite dish, barbecue, display cabinet with farm products. Outside, the beautiful garden equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas, swimming pool (12 x 6 m – maximum depth 1.8 m open from 01/05 to 30/09).
Access to the villa is through a road in very good condition (50 m). Parking within the property. Small pets are allowed. All windows have mosquito nets.
Extra services: domestic help available at € 12 / hour (payable on site). Cot available on request. In winter the heating is on consumption, but the large fireplace can be lit with wood available.

THE HEARTH” APARTMENT

Apartment is on two floors, with the ground floor occupied by the kitchen, a large living/ dining room, a bathroom and a beautiful veranda with table for eating, the garden and access to the pool. Protagonist of the hall, the large old fireplace, which gives its name to this unit, where peasant families gathered in winter to tell stories and read aloud the few books they owned. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (2 double and one twin), each with private bathroom (two with shower and one with bathtub), and a living room. It can comfortably accommodate up to seven people thanks to the presence of a single bed to be added in any room given the size of the same and is equipped with a cot.
THE “FIREPLACE” APARTMENT

The apartment, “The fireplace”, is on one floor, and consists of a beautiful living room with fireplace, equipped with double sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and a large double bedroom with direct access to the pool. It can accommodate up to four people. The bathroom has been made accessible for the disabled.
